Process for Requesting a Website be Unblocked
Description:
A web filtering system is in place on all Timex-owned computer devices which ensures safe web browsing by blocking access to websites containing malicious content and to various categories of websites deemed non-business related. On occasion, you may find you are blocked while attempting to browse a site for business reasons and this document shows you how to place a request to have the website unblocked.
Here is an example of the block message you may encounter:

Solution:
Unblock Procedure
1. Open Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser and visit the Fresh Service Desk Portal at https://support.timexgroup.com
2. In your Dashboard, search for Web Filtering and open the service item.

3. The next screen should have all of your contact info pre-populated. To move forward all that is required is for you to type a message in the “Details” box. In your message include the website address that is blocked and a very brief reason why you require access to it (e.g. Pertains to watches)

4. After entering details click the button near the bottom of the Request webpage named “Place Request” then "Confirm".

Your Request will then be forwarded to your manager for approval. After your manager approves the Request it is routed to an ITS group member to process the unblocking of the site. Note that IT will also route your manager approved request to H/R for final approval prior to implementation. You will receive an email update once the ITS member handling the Request ticket completes the required changes. Once the ticket is closed if you encounter an issue browsing the unblocked website please notify the Global Service Desk.
